HAZMAT
    HAZMAT Awareness & Operations (NFPA 472)
  • This course is an 80 hour intensive NFPA Standard derived course that is both conducted in the classroom and on the HAZMAT training field for practical application training. The core curriculum for this course is NFPA 472 (Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destructions Incidents). The course also draws on other NFPA stipulated Standards that are deemed necessary for HAZMAT team awareness and technical operation skills. Customised FSA-KSA Student hand out materials as well as International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) training manuals are utilized as part of this course.

  • HAZMAT Managing the incident (NFPA 472)
  • This 24 hour course is designed to provide public and private sector emergency response personnel with a logical, building black system for managing hazardous materials emergencies. It is not a chemistry oriented text. In fact, it assumes that most of the first-arriving emergency responders will have little or no formal chemistry training. It is designed to begin at the point where responders recognize that they are dealing with a hazardous materials emergency, even when the specific hazardous materials have not been identified.

  • HAZMAT Containment (NFPA 472)
  • Hazmat Containment teaches specifically to NFPA 472 Standard for Professional Competence of Responders Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents. The course covers four types of hazard materials containment.

  • HAZMAT Decontamination (NFPA 472)
  • Hazmat Decontamination, a 24 hour course, teaches specifically to NFPA 472 Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents. The course talks about four subjects regarding hazards materials decontamination.

  • HAZMAT Response (NFPA 472)
  • Hazmat Response, a 24 hour course, teaches specifically to meet the NFPA 472 Standard of an operations level Haz-Mat responder. The course talks about seven subjects regarding hazards materials response.

  • HAZMAT Refresher (NFPA 472)
  • This course is a 40 hour intensive NFPA Standard derived course that is both conducted in the classroom and on the HAZMAT training field for practical application training. The core curriculum for this course is NFPA 472, (Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials / Weapons of Mass Destruction Incident). The course also draws on other NFPA stipulated Standards that are necessary for HAZMAT team awareness and technical operation skills.
